Janie Lake2024-04-20Since my 90 minute treatment last Monday I feel absolutely fantastic! Some tenderness lasted a couple of days which Matt had explained to expect. I suffer from back pain following a fracture of my spine and can honestly say my back feels fabulous now but not just my back I feel totally rejuvenated! Couldn’t recommend more highly! Thanks Matt.Joel2024-04-01Amazing experience, the session was personalised and tailored for me and I was thoroughly impressed by the professional service. My shoulders and back made me feel like I had been reborn, and the follow up sessions were just as good.Julie Gibb2024-02-26I was very impressed by the depth of Matthew's knowledge and skill - I felt like he really understood me and consequently managed to loosen years of tension! And, as an 'older' woman, I also liked that I didn't have to get undressed!Tara Ridley2023-12-15Thank you to Matt for this new experience. I suffer with lower back pain due to lugging a heavy bag around all day. I also play rugby which is a high contact sport which I often suffer shoulder muscle pain from. Matt talked to me about where my pain lies in my body and as well as performing a deep but refreshing massage, he encouraged me to take up yoga and focus on cooling down stretches after the gym to relax my muscles better. I do recommend this service.Selina Yau2023-12-14Matthew was very professional and attentive and he listened carefully about the issues at hand during the consultation. Throughout the massage, he would also check in on the pressure to make sure I was comfortable. My back and shoulders feel so much looser even after one visit and I am looking forward to my next treatment as I write! Amazing work, thank you.Sarah Laing2023-12-14Matt is a lovely young man. I felt amazing after his massage.S Parish2023-11-30I had a great Tui Na massage on my neck and shoulders which were stiff and painful, Matt was very friendly and explained I would ache for 3 days after then would feel better. I would definitely have a massage with Matt again.Richard Gibb2023-11-28Honestly - fantastic! What is Tui Na?
Tui Na (Tway-Na) goes beyond what we usually think of as a massage. It is known as a “Pillar of Chinese Medicine” alongside Acupuncture, Herbal medicine, and Qi Gong. It is an ancient and fascinating bodywork practice rooted in the principles of Chinese Medicine.
This art blends acupressure, unique massage techniques, assisted stretching, and gentle joint adjustments. There is also no need to undress, as it is typically performed over clothes.
About Matt
A certified massage therapist, Matt’s journey into holistic healing began with Tui Na training accredited by Yanagi Healing Arts. He is currently deepening his understanding of wellness by studying Acupuncture at Xian Tian College and training in the art of Nei Gong with Lotus Nei Gong.
Having opened his fully insured Clinic in Coxford, Southampton, he hopes to bring the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine into modern-day living.
